Many company around the world competes to attract their customers in different ways. They made some marketing strategy to fulfil the customers’ needs and every matter they want. With iBeacon technolgy, some companies in any industries create a new brand marketing purposes to gain more customers. Here are 11 industries which already trial iBeacon technology.

Retail are the most excited industries in embracing iBeacon. the stores create their own app which integrated with ibeacon to send relevant information such as discount, sale and etc Lord & Taylor joins a long libe of iBeacon-enabled stores, including American Eagle, Tesco, Waitrose, Macy’s and many more.

Mook, Germany restaurant group is testing iBeacon-based loyalty sytems at restaurants. The system tracks information about customers: their favorite table, how long they spend in the restaurant, what dishes they prefer. This breaktrough become more interesting since the company will know who exactly their customers are.

You can also find iBeacons at Odeon Cinemas in the UK, where the technology is used to welcome cinema-goers to their seats and let them know about special offers. The cinema also wants to use the technology to gather detailed “customer insights”.

In the UK at Clevedon School, pupils developed an iBeacon-based school handbook solution that is also used by teachers to share lesson resources, which:
“…may foster a new beginning in terms of iPad deployment in education.”

The banking sector is experimenting. Australia’s St. George Bank is testing the technology at three branches, offering welcome messages and information the bank thinks might be relevant to that customer. Explore more potential for iBeacon in banking here.

InMarket claims that iBeacon technology makes a big difference to purchasing intent. In the case of Hillshire brands, InMarket’s iBeacon-based solution raised interest in one product 20-fold.

Major League Baseball (MLB) has iBeacon support within its At The Ballpark app. The technology lets fans check-in when attending a game in order to receive all kinds of in-game features and special offers. And it’s not just about baseball, some sources reported that Golden State Warriors and WWE are also doing with iBeacon.

Virgin Atlantic began its own iBeacon trial in the UK’s Heathrow Airport at the beginning of the year. Others airplane company which tested this advanced technology are easyJet, American Airlines, Japan Airlines, and many more.

iBeacon is already used at museums; Ruben’s House museum in Antwerp uses them to offer smartphone-equipped visitors a contextual exhibition guide that automatically provides more details about the pictures they are in front of.


Dine Alone decided to set-up the BLE iBeacon technology to embrace the audiences experience at the City nd Colour concert and also to give the artist unparalleled access to engaging with their fans who already have the app installed on their Android and iPhone.


iBeacon with bluetooth smart has been applied in Tribeca Film Festival. the participants have to download TFF app from their smartphone. Then, they can enter the venue to enjoy the film festival. It is including receiving information about several interesting films they can watch at the film festival venue

These 11 industries are just a small part of the implementation of  iBeacon technology accros the world. In two or three years later there will be more than these.
