This year, airports are competing to give the best experience for their customer. This competition is involving a lot of technology and innovation. Taking step further from smart home, the “smart” concept is brought to the Airport.
We can see there are more and more Airport and Airlines this day featuring technology such as iBeacon. The beacon is used to engage customers in the airport. Some airports are using beacon to track their passenger’s location and inform them about flight schedule.
These implementations are pretty much what we’d love to experience since many people can either get lost in a huge airport or missed their boarding announcement. At least for some airport, iBeacon technology is also used to deliver promo and discount in their duty free shop. Which is cool because it can deliver promo and discount that you won’t miss!
