City and Colour First in Music Industrial to Test iBeacon Technology

Canadian famous Musician City and Colour and Dine Alone Records collaborated with Volu.me launched a free “City and Colour Live” app at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
Dine Alone decided to set-up the BLE iBeacon technology to embrace the audiences experience at the concert and also to give the artist unparalleled access to engaging with their fans who already have the app installed on their Android and iPhone.
City and Colour Live app powered by Volu.me integrated with the 15 iBeacons which activated around the venue. It enables the artist to get insight the fans habit during the show. Indeed, they were encouraged to turn on their Bluetooth to get relevant information at the show. Luckily, they got chances to win prizes and giveaways.
The several information are about the seats, the suite access, the autographed City and Colour CD’s, LP’s and silk screened posters and one grand prize winner received a Martin Guitar autographed by Dallas Green.
By serving a new innovation in music industrial, it creates an experience nobody is bound to forget.
