I wrote about an article of how logistic and Internet of Things combined. Now since there is Internet of Things around us, the leveraging of its implementation is growing better and bigger. Started from home, retail, to public places now Internet of Things also available for Logistic. Here are 4 examples of Internet of Things for Logistic:
1. Item Location
Logistic can be dealing with million things. To control them one by one is impossible. To find one exact thing is beyond delusional. Search of individual items in big surfaces like warehouses or harbors with Internet of Things technology can chop off your time.
2. Fleet Tracking
Track you logistic is a necessary thing to do. Beside you can manage the product being sent, you also can track to where the logistic is going. Control of routes followed for delicate goods like medical drugs, jewels or dangerous merchandises with Internet of Things.
3. Quality of Shipment Conditions
The product you are shipped could be broke. This is not something you wanted. Monitoring of vibrations, strokes, container openings or cold chain maintenance for insurance purposes is important if you want a high quality of shipment conditions. Internet of Things comes to ease them.
4. Storage Incompatibility Detection
Some products can be damaged when they are closed to the fire. Warning emission on containers storing inflammable goods closed to others containing explosive material is important.
